A-cat Worlds 2011 innovation

Good news! As you know, there is live tracking on all days in this year’s edition of A-Cat Worlds. As of Wednesday, we’ll have live video streaming as well.

Deliver artwork (image) and be exposed in our live tracking and live video broadcasts.

Artwork will be displayed in the following ways:

The tracking client:

  • When the viewer mouses over your boat on the map.
  • When the viewer mouses over your boat on the leaderboard.
  • When your boat rounds a mark or passes the finishing line.

The live video channel:

At least twice (8-10 sec.) during each race.

IMAGE DELIVERY NOTE:

File format: PNG.

Exactly 80 pixels high and max. 140 pixels wide.

The file must be named NNNyyyy.png (WITHOUT spaces)
NNN = nation abbreviation (in upper-case letters)
yyyy = sail-number (use as many digits as are required; no leading zeros.

Participate in our social media experiment

If you use Facebook, Twitter or any other social channel to broadcast your activities during the event we would also like you to participate in a small experiment that’ll give you even more exposure – so please let us know if you’re interested.

We want your opinion

In 2011, Sailing Aarhus is collaborating with ACTIVE institute. The topic is the dissemination of sailing and how to find new ways of making sailing viewable, sharable and understandable.

Normally, an organizer tries to find a few sponsors to be able to pay for the event, including dissemination of the event (live tracking, video streaming etc.). We would like to explore new ways of expanding the model, and would be very pleased if you would answer the following questions.
